I had the privilege of living with my dear high school friend Christina the first year I moved to New York. She followed her heart and recently moved to San Francisco and I must say, I miss her terribly! A few weeks before she moved, we went to The Mermaid Inn to chat over oysters and drinks.

One of the many lovely things about my friend Christina is that she always has interesting tidbits of information to share - like the fact that Louise Fili designed the restaurant's charming logo.

The opportunity to live with a close friend does not come very often and I'm thankful for our memorable year together.
