I'm really liking Chanel's Coco Cocoon line and campaign. (I'm also beginning to think that the words "coco" and "cocoon" should only be written together in Chanel font.) The bags look so soft, pillowy practical, versatile... I wonder how they feel in real life? Anyways, Lily Allen looks great (but who wouldn't with a tiara like that!) and Daul Kim did the video campaign - super smiley and pretty! (She posted a full-length video on her blog.)

Oh and this cute girl was asked by Chanel to be the Coco Cocoon ambassador. Le BIG sigh! Someday, Chanel, someday! :)

Bikes Not Bombs

I won!

The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is giving me a $500 gift certificate to a great organization/bike store called Bikes Not Bombs and an additional $100 to buy a helmet and lock! I'm planning on heading over to the bike store sometime this weekend (hopefully) and find the perfect bike for me. SO excited! Christmas definitely came early this year!

In the meantime, do you have any recommendations or tips for a new cyclist like me?

Cup of Jo posted this video about a psychology experiment on willpower. These kids are so cute!

I kept thinking about what I would have done if I was put in the same situation when I was five years old.

I'm sure I would have started picking at the marshmallow in a discrete location after a few minutes...

but knowing me, I think I would have made sure I got a second marshmallow afterwards.

For some reason this experiment they did with children and marshmallows reminded me of how hard it is to hold a certain stretch for an extra five seconds in yoga, or how easy it is to start walking after a really short jog. A delicate balance of push and pull... that's what it's all about, isn't it? Perseverence.

I'd like to know what the life of a "typical" college student is. Do you have a job? Work-study? No work, just classes?

I'm curious because I barely ever have time to sit down and eat a full meal! I'm the starving college student not because of depleted funds, but because I'm always on the move trying to get somewhere on time. So I'm curious, if you're a student, what's your life like? Whattayado?

I was thinking about coloring the bird from the previous post bright pink, but Alli surprised me with a chrome spray paint when I came over to her apartment in search of a bird transformation. In expert blogger fashion, she also documented the process for me to post on viva la sk. Thanks, neighbor! I'm glad that I was able to give the little one a shiny facelift - I thought it deserved more attention in my apartment! I would also like to note that the fumes from spray painting in the corridor led to late night cupcakes and heart-shaped brownie baking.
