behind and in front of the lens

Color Me Katie's blog post got me thinking today.

I've realized that I am sometimes much better at capturing my emotions through a photo rather than words.

And sometimes, the subject of those photos is me.

The self-portraits below are quite old... I should really start embracing self-timer a little more these days.

  8. Aw, that last picture..

Even though my dorm situation was kind of terrible (there were 4 in a suite and I only got along with one of my suitemates) I always say that I miss being in them :( Despite the lack of space and that everyone was so god damn messy, there was something comforting about being in the same building and sharing the freshmen experience with my friends that lived there.

yes the bourguignon is similar to the galbijjim!! But there's a lot of red wine in it so of course the flavor is different but texture-wise that's the first thing that came to mind lol.

  9. Oh and I love that you like to shoot self portraits. That's been my main focus at Parsons and also my senior thesis. I've been wanting to post some of my work on my blog but it might scare some readers away haha.

  11. Hey! I haven't spoken to you in ages, but I randomly checked my old xanga account. Have you ever heard of the website www.yesstyle.com?! I'm obsessed with it.

  12. oh haha ya the boots .. my grandma's like never worn them. we're very alike, it's kind of scary. we both have a shopping addiction, and we both buy things that we don't wear a lot. it's kind of bad.. haha. that's why she's so pro/for the fact that i'm in fashion, lol.
