Bulguksa is a Buddhist Temple up in the mountains in Gyeongju.

I'm just going to let the photos do the talking this time.

However, note this - I have uncovered the secret to traveling with young children (in this case, my 4 year old cousin): bribery. It sounds horrible but honestly, without that yogurt ice cream in his hand I don't think my aunt and I could have made it to see the temple!

  3. Yogurt icecream doesn't just work on children, it would work on me too, hehehehe!

Love these photos, the greenery and tranquility of the outdoors, and the pops of color from the lanterns in the other pics. Lovely.

  5. these pics are amazing, you captured the escence of the real Korea, unfortunately I never was in Bulguksa during my trip in Korea last year, but definitely I'll visit this place on my next trip to there ^^

I was fall in love with Korea, and it's impossible not to come back once you were there.

  6. aha, i went there last summer! yup, bribery works with every kid.. those pesky little children..

hmm that's a hard question about japan vs korea. i'd say it'd be easier to get around in korea. i don't know if koreans generally know more english than japanese but there are a lot more signs in english in korea than in japan i noticed. plus, i've never tried speaking english to people here in korea while in japan, i didn't really have a choice but to speak english! haha
